"WoodBangers Network, LLC"

Our Thoughts – OH Wow these guys are really good! 1 Last Chance is a GREAT punk-rock band based out of Oxford Mississippi which sadly I had never heard of until recently. Wow such beautiful talent, I’d love to hear these guys with some high-end production behind them. It is rare to find bands with such drive, and sound so good without high end recordings, their raw sound is emotionally driven and very beautiful! We are hooked 1 Last Chance is just amazing! - Mudshovel

"Rock Bandom"

Great alternative punk/rock band with a great modern sound, reminding us of Sleeping With Sirens, Blink 182 etc. Very pleasurable to listen to indeed. Vocally brilliant, Lyrically superb and musically just as fantastic - SCOTTY-D

"Australian Musician Network"

A blend of elements that includes punk rock, hard rock, alternative rock and progressive rock sounds amazing enough, but when Oxford, Mississippi band 1 Last Chance delivers songs that have all these things wrapped up in insanely catchy melodies, with tracks like Perfect Machine and Ricochet Man, you know that you’ve stumbled across something special. - Maggie Sapet (VIC)

"Muzik Reviews"

1 Last Chance plays music that is like a punch in the face; you never forget it and then you want to go get another round. That is the only way to explain their catchy melodic bone-crunching sound. There is just enough melody in their rough exterior to pull you in and keep you there but it's the rawness and toughness of the foundation they build that propels you into their circle of sound. - Keith "MuzikMan" Hannaleck

"The Daily Mississippian"

The tenacity and passion of the group has gone far from being unnoticed. Even with a sparse punk rock scene in Oxford, 1 Last Chance has created a large fan base outside of Mississippi. - Ellie Bond

"Amarillo Globe-News"

The band tries to make music that "means something," lead singer Jake Dixie said in an email.

"The state of rock music today is a linear march of bland, forgettable clones," Dixie said. "It has become primarily about emulating a safe, generic sound with the intent to move product, as opposed to an outlet for real expression. We're sick of it and I think just about everyone else is, too.

"If I write an angry song, it's because I'm pissed off, not because angry songs happen to be what's popular. If I write a love song, it's because I'm in love," he continued. "If it's honest, people will respond to it -- they can feel it because it's real."

The show is free, but donations are accepted.

"Local X Radio"

After a night of listening to Local X Radio, I always email Mr. X with my likes and dislikes. I had three songs that stood out for me tonight: Sully from Godsmack's solo song "Eyes of a Child", Fit for Rivals' "Cut Off Your Hands," and this bad ass local band called 1 Last Chance and their killer song "Perfect Machine"! - Neill Ayres

"Remy's Music & Film Blog"

...it's a distinctly American punk-rock sound with nods to 90's bands such as Blink 182 and The Offspring. 'A Perfect Machine' is a catchy number that will appeal to a younger demographic and toward the end of the track there is some excellent guitar solos that quite reminded me of 80's rock bands such as Guns N'Roses and Van Halen. - Remy Connolly

"Deadly Music!"

...A Perfect Machine is down and dirty post punk with some alt rock posturing thrown in. - Frank King

"Take A Chance On 1 Last Chance"

Slightly reminiscent of when rock was riding a wave of popularity a decade ago, 1 Last Chance manage to bring it up to date with their strong sound. - Rock and Roll Creations

"‘1 Last Chance’ has been touring hard and ready to release first single"

“A Perfect Machine” could be the song to get them some radio play on rock stations, too. It’s soft to loud dynamic hearkens back to ‘90s alternative rock while staying true to the band’s punk influences and attitude. - The Oxford Eagle

Bio

In a time when contrived pop, hip-hop and country completely dominate the mainstream music industry, 1 Last Chance holds on to an unyielding belief: that music should actually mean something. It should not be background noise, it should not be trivial and it should not be insincere. Instead, it should be powerful, it should be emotional and, most of all, it should be real.

Based out of Oxford, Mississippi, founding members Jacob Hampton and Brandon McDaniel have been crafting the band's music since 2010. After releasing their initial demos to the public in 2012 and receiving a strong positive response in return, they started taking on the region with their live shows, employing an energy and stage presence that is unrivaled. Since then, they've shared stages across the country with the likes of The Ataris, Unwritten Law, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus and members of the Misfits (just to name a few).

Having been inspired in their youths by groups like Bad Religion, Green Day and The Offspring, the band blends elements of alternative rock, punk rock and progressive rock into a style that is completely unique to them, yet still familiar enough that listeners connect with it wholeheartedly.
