1st Word

The mc known as 1st Word has been cutting his way through the hip hop scene like a warm knife through butter. Slow and steady. Making his start with the crew "THE SLEEPY EYE SOULJAH", which later became the coalition named DUN DEAL. Fast forward a couple years and several projects; VERSES 3:16'S(EP), BRIGHT LIGHTS SCAR CITY (the mixtape) SAY WORD(LP), Word is back in the lab. This time around he has partnered up with producer BRUISEZ. "The Asolidi Records family is crazy, me and Bruisez just have that natural chemistry, so we decided to hit the lab and make it happen. We like a 2006 version of Guru and Premiere" word boasts. Look for COLD MINAZ to be making some major noise in the near future. The year is now 2008 and 1st Word has been making moves on another level. 2007 saw first join forces with ONE OAK Records and in that time recorded two albums together. Immaculate part 1, and Immaculate part 2. It was a match made in heaven as Kumo Kenyatta (CEO) of ONEoak Records Inc. signed 1st Word. The new home of 1st houses some familiar faces so the transition has been met with open arms. When asked whats it like working with ONE OAK Word replies, "its like living with family. You have your ups and downs, but the LOVE means so much more, that the music just becomes fun again. I'm loving it at ONEoak." In 2008 you can expect the second installment of the BRIGHT LIGHT SCAR CITY mixtape Vol.2. This is going to be a BANGER. With production from DJ RAD, Sick, Kumo Kenyatta, Bruisez, Kyu, and Kid Boston aka Killah Kibba. The first solo project from 1st Word will without question solidify his position as one of the TOP mc's of 2008.
