The best kept secret in music

"21 against - Album"

The Title of this album is incorrect. There's a lot to write home about with this well executed slab of emo tinged pop rock chaos.
8/10 - Classic Rock - Future Publishing

"21 against album review"

21 against - a band who make you feel they're giving you their truth through their music.
The clarity of the earthy vocals supported by quality guitar and drums, this perfectly well produced first album shines with emotive lyrics. Standout tracks are '4 o'clock' and 'fragile' are strong and it's obvious all songs would be amazing live. More high calibre music made in Wales.
4/5 - Buzz magazine

"Music To Write Home About"

The band haven't done themselves any favours with the album title, possibly one of the most misleading titles ever, because it really is a thing of punk rock beauty.
One thing that immediately stands out is the groups sound, which is already hones to something approaching perfection, topped off by Jones' superb vocals, which move from rugged constraint to emotive falsetto at the appropriate moments. 4 o'clock sounds like one of those songs that have been around for ages - a true mark of quality songwriting.
Based on this evidence, they are likely to win new fans because they have it all - a tight sound, great production values and songs with choruses more contagious than bird flu. - Rhyl Visitor

"Outstanding Act"

The Guitar work on this track is really good (dumb) making the overdriven guitars accessible and catchy. And talking of catchy, check out the chorus - it's an absolute pop monster. The extended vocal line is a stirring expression of unadulterated elation guaranteed to get any audience leaping up with new found joie de vivre!

The engine room is a strong one indeed, Wilf (drums) demonstrates some of the tightest playing I have heard in some time, while Peek (bass) gives the whole thing a solid footing.

A special mention must go to 4 o 'clock with a chorus the size of Mount Snowdon. All in all a splendid peice of work from a band that should be big.

"Band is something to write home about"

Nothing To Write Home About? I beg to differ. The debut from this four piece is a cracker.
'Dumb' is an appropriate opener emits a fresh and commercial sound while keeping its edge.

21 against are an immenseley talented combo, the lyrics rich and original have a good hook and are radio friendly.

Their switch-hitting style carries on throughout. 'Fade Away' is slow and deliberate, 'Anniversary song' is a delicate mish mash of guitar, 'wish it away' is a lot like Radioheads 'Creep', while 'Nothing To Write Home About' oozes potential. - North Wales News

"3NRG Radio Australia - 21 against"

Don't let the title fool you; it is something to write home about.
One of the top 20 rock cd's of the year! - 3NRG Radio Australia

"Radio Heerde -Netherlands - 21 against"

When you hear it the first time you will think 'This is great'.
4 o'clock has something that not often happens: something new but also very familiar. If this song is not a hit, there is something wrong with the music taste of many people.

Thank you 21 against!! - Radio Heerde - Jan Nederveen

"103.7 FM Australia - 21 against"

Some great guitar driven rock. Plenty of variety, with songs like 'Anniversary song' swaying from soft passages to heavy riffs. The acoustic 'Fragile' also stands out.
I have enjoyed the whole album. - 103.7 FM Australia

"Internet Radio - Scotland - 21 against"

There is a raw enegy here that mirrors some of the sounds coming from across the Atlantic right now.
If you only listen to opening track 'dumb' your not giving the album a fair try and is also not reflective of where the album will take you. 'Wish it away' and 'Fragile' would not go a miss on the next series of OC. - Internet Radio - Brendan Dowd

21 against are a Welsh rock band, playing around U.K and recently toured U.S tours. Subsequently leading to working with Philadelphian entertainment attorney! Influences range from Classic Rock to modern commercial music. Which I guess is where we get our sound: Commerical Rock!
