2 Bit Radio

2 Bit Radio is a high energy electronic rock band of electrifying members who create music that make their audience move their body (or at least rock their head up and down as they check out the body movers).
Band members include: Ted Melikian, Christina Cruz,  Mike Dorsey, Anthony Montgomery.

Ted and Christina spent a good 6 months in Maui in 2011 writing and producing songs from “Dirty Time”- “Life Preserver” being one of them, you can tell by the ambient groove and beachy sunset “feel good” vibe.
With little distraction from friends and family back in California it was easy to become immersed in the music. They collaborated to pull together awesome sounds and finish previously recorded original musical works in progress.

Upon completion of their debut album “Dirty Time” they headed back home to San Diego, California to rehearse the new music with quick hit drummer Kyle Bruen.
Drawn to the high energy and coolness of “Beverly Baller” and the hair tingling affect from the classic piano intro in “Never Understand”, 2 Bit Radio caught his attention right away.
Drumming since 3rd grade, he brings the influence of Motown, having grown up just outside of Detroit, Michigan. A dedicated musician, he brings the racket.

After Performing together for a few months they added guitarist Mike Dorsey to the group to help add some swagga. He just moved to the west coast from Chicago to play guitar.
In Chicago he gigged with 3 bands and was getting very anxious to be playing again.

“Beverly Baller” is about striving to live the dream of fame and glory in Los Angeles. The story is about the lifestyle of a ‘baller’ going out and looking for fun. The beat flowing with the electronic vocals makes it so you can feel the drive down PCH to Sunset Boulevard.
“Living Large in LA” tells the story of a relationship that has gone sour. This song makes you want to dance but listen to those lyrics; there’s meaning behind every verse.
“With Me” has a true rock feel to it. The story is of life in L.A. and brings in the elements of electronic distortions, guitar riffs and provocative storylines. The lyrics take you into a world of desire and pleasure and coupled with its tremendous beat, “With Me” will make your head rock and instinctively sing along.
