It was such a pleasure working with Chase and Logan (2Dubaii), the amazing electro/punk/hip-hop production duo that made the beat and released it as the closing track on their debut EP "Electra". They hail from the dope college city Boulder, Colorado, where they have a rapidly growing fan base and I have a quite a few friends and awesome supporters. You guys NEED to check them out, they've got remixes, trippy sick, bumping shit, everything you wanna knock your head to and hear at clubs and parties. Perhaps I'll make it out there sometime soon to rock a show in CO with these guys. 2Dubaii is Boulder's own Electro duo extraordinaire! Formed in the rural mountain town of Durango (CO) Chase Orrick and Logan Vandenberg's High School years were spent producing beats and high-energy tracks that would eventually form the dynamic and explosive performance that is 2Dubaii. The boys have always pushed for a unique sound that is sure to destroy dance floors anywhere they perform. Electro/House forms the basis of their performances but "2Dubs" is known for incorporating unique twists into their sets. With influences ranging from Rock, Hip Hop and French House. Their name stems from the iconic DJ duo of David and Stephen Dewaele, of 2 Many Dj's.They decided on the "2" since the two have always produced and performed together. When asked about the meaning of the Dubaii portion in a recent blog interview 2Dubs responded, "only a few people know".
Both members are classically trained musicians with instrumental experience ranging from piano to the violin, and they consistantly try to push for musicality in their productions and performances. After moving to Boulder to attend the The University of Colorado, 2Dubaii signed with Souls In Action Entertainment, a Denver based music management and production company dedicated to bringing the latest in musical talent to the colorado region. Souls In Action prides itself on not losing sight of the value of good music and puts concerts to raise money and awareness for the support of social issues and disaster relief organizations. The boys have received major recognition for their participation in events like LOVE:HAITI and the FOUR MILE FIRE BENEFIT:DANCE 2 DONATE which raised significant awareness and donations for their causes.
2Dubaii has played alongside top performers such as LAZY RICH, DIGITAL FREQ, FRESH2DEATH, VIBESQUAD, EMINENCE ENSEMBLE, RESIDENT ANTI-HERO, D.V.S*, and FIEVEL & LOLO. The two are still currently studying and producing in Boulder, Colorado and are excited about upcomming shows and the prospective booking opportunities as the Music Festival Season approaches!
