The Rewind Urban music showcase took place on Wednesday 17th March 2004 at The Wonder Bar, City University. The showcase featured 18 fresh tracks from local urban artists from London and was judged on the night by:

Raz Kwame, BBC Radio 1Xtra.

Stuckee Willoughby, The Playcentre.

George Roberts, Sony Music UK.

Matthias Postel, SAE College.

Simon Singleton, Pure Groove Records.

The 18 finalists all had their tracks listened to and critiqued by the panel. The winner was announced by the panel on the night and the other finalists were scored and put into the judges order. Competition was fierce on the night and all the artists and tracks were of a very high standard. 2-ID's track 'Oh Boy' was put into 6th place and distributed widely on the Rewind Complilation Album, creating once again a strong interest and following for '2-ID'.

Feeling a bit camera shy

Lucy and Pearl have been performing together since 1998. Originally part of 4 piece girl group ‘Nemesis’, the girls went their separate ways in 1999 to seek the much needed creative control, individuality and respect they deserved. Lucy and Pearl, soon after, reformed as a duo and 2-ID were born.

After many months of writing, rehearsing and recording predominantly pop demos, 2-ID began work in the studio recording brand new tracks, penned by the girls themselves, and produced by world renowned Dreamworks producer and Jive recording artist ‘Jud Mahoney’ which has led them in more of an urban direction.

With the long awaited 3rd demo finally finished and being named finalists at the ‘UK Songwriting Contest 2003 and 2004' with pop track 'Storee Ends' and RnB track 'Oh Boy', the girls continue to write and produce more quality material . 2-ID are also currently working as featuring vocalists on various different up and coming releases and are crossing over to different genres such as Garage, Drum n Bass and Breakbeats.

With 2-ID’s fresh funky beats, edgy dance moves and tight smooth harmonies the girls are creating a buzz on the music scene and with keen label and management interest 2-ID continue to do what they do best, entertain and take their music to an international level.

Watch out for 2-ID!!!!!!!!!!
