"Because, let's face it, we're not really 'American Idol' material," he said. "But it would be nice to market the music and make a living at it."

That plan may not be as lofty as it sounds, in fact. Two Men And A Campfire boasts a healthy schedule of shows throughout Ohio and -- particularly at its self-proclaimed "home base" at Jammin' Java in Parma -- has begun to build a fan base as unique as the band itself. "I sometimes joke from stage that we thought about calling it 'Two Men And A Campfire Looking For Two Women with A Tent'," Northfield Village resident Zinn said. "But we thought 'twomenandacampfirelookingfortwowomenwithatent.com' would be kind of difficult."

Albeit memorable. Which, in the end, the group's music takes care of quite admirably on its own.

The duo has dubbed its mix of Zinn's inadvertently dark, eerie folk and Godbey's more traditional and quirkily humorous "Americoustic" music -- not quite rootsy enough to be Americana, but far from a full-on rock approach. - Sun News Cleveland.Com

Bio

"Americoustic Duo" Ryan and Dale are "brother -in-laws" with different and diverse musical backgrounds, that would spend time at family gatherings playing around the campfire, so they decided to bring their skills and a lifetime of experience and love for original music together, and began playing local coffeehouses. They have since developed a local following of fans that love the eclectic sound of their unique selections of music, armed with just 2 Acoustic Guitars, as well as the utilization of different effects used in the "Award winning" trademarked "Americoustic" Genre of performances. Both were born in West Virginia Ryan was raised in different parts of the country including Arizona and Nashville and played in many rock and country bands before settling in Cleveland, Ohio. Dale was raised in Cleveland Ohio and is sometimes referred to as the "Cleveland Kid" because of his knowledge of the inner city. He played in the Rock group "Erebus" as well as being a liturgical musician for many years. He has been active in fostering original music in the area by sponsoring events, benefits, radio programs etc: As well as being a BMI affiliated publisher and songwriter and producing "Underneath the Harvest Moon" A Country CD by Steve & Dale in Nashville.
