THE STORY BEGINS......
“2nd Life” was born in May 2011 and is the brain child of Gerrit Boonzaier the former Lead singer from the highly successful band “Movie 55”. BOON (stage name) has performed since the age of 18 on stages all over South Africa. As the singer of Movie55, he achieved 18 play listings. Enormous response was received to BOON's singles over past years, but his true journey into the world of music is just beginning.
Gerrit aka Boon was born in Vryheid but currently resides in Pretoria. Boon writes his own music and is a full time vocalist.

THE ALBUM.....
2nd Life’s, album “EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE” explains his journey through life and BOON’s deepest emotional thoughts and experience are reflected in each song. Now, as a soloist accompanied by some of South Africa's finest secessionists, he rides strongly onto radio stations, majors and campuses alike, with several giving the ballad, “Everything is Possible”, and the rocker, “Rescue Me”, high rotation. The album comprises of Pop, Modern Rock and Reggae, catering for the ear of all ages. The album was produced by SAMA award winning producers Brian O’shae (2010) and Chrighton Goodwill (2009). The album “Everything is possible” comprises of 12 tracks, featuring four cover songs and 8 original songs.
OUR MOTTO....
2nd Life, not only promotes South African music, but is also supporting community and fund raising projects. They are currently actively involved with raising money for BABY REEF, who suffer from acute lymphoblastic leukaemia, CANSA Shavathon and numerous child homes They live by the motto: “We are, each of us angels with only one wing, and we can only fly by embracing one another” by Luciano de Crescenzo

BABY REEF: Facebook awareness of Reef’s need for financial support, 2ndLife donates a part of their marketing budget to Reef for every new “Like” on their Facebook page. Baby Reef website: http://www.savebabyreef.com/fundraisers , Over R90 000 were raised with this project so far.
