Bio

A 2 Party System just makes sense. After all, music is a two-party system. Profound power manifests when rhythm and melody touch the soul. That power changed the lives of two 30-something PA musicians who, in February 2011, decided to answer its call to represent multiple genres including: rock, hip hop, metal, jazz, fusion, and world. With influences like Duke Ellington, Frank Zappa, Public Enemy, the Grateful Dead, Black Sabbath, and Motown, they could not do it any other way. How can a 2 Party System reach across the aisle so effortlessly? Perhaps it is the unique balance of power between members Kiyeth and Venomous T. Kiyeth's experimental, synth- driven guitar approach and ensemble mentality combined with Venomous T's unique, quick handed "2-drummers-in-1" technique creates a tapestry of limitless possibilities. Their tight, hyper-focused playing, as well as strong vocals, an ear for harmony, and emotionally charged lyrics concocts a visceral experience. Like their mentors, do not expect the status quo. In May, 2 Party System completed 14 songs and are currently writing and recording another 6 songs, which will be released in late August. A colossal conglomeration of songs are paramount to realizing a multi-genre vision. Collaboration projects with other musicians are also in the works. On the business end, this forward-thinking duo are developing a marketing strategy to achieve career objectives including: selling singles online, getting radio airplay, and attaining licensing deals. Back when Kiyeth, 17, first played with 12-year-old VT, an interesting dynamic took place. Over the years, they schooled one another in various bands together, and they went their separate ways working on other projects. Ready to finish what they started, they are asking you to join the party.
