Like all other boys on the street, he played soccer. He started his school at Alipore road primary school and moved on to Ganges High School where he completed his Matric in 2011. He started music at an early age, singing at church in a choir. At one stage he found himself singing hip-hop music with the group called Carnivores(CNV) due to the shortage of opportunities in his genre Gospel by then. Being a versatile artist, he could sing any kind of music he didn’t hesitate to take the opportunity. Although the group didn’t get much exposure, he has made a mark in music.

He moved into Propellers in Wentworth another hip-hop group with rappers and singers, by then he was doing Matric at school. He couldn’t put more attention on music as that was going to disturb him from his examinations. He dropped out of the group.

When he finishes his exams in 2011, his a friend from school, Philisiwe Khumalo introduced him to the Icebo gospel choir. He joined the group. They usually used to go door to door delivering prayers and singing for families and on weekends they would be invited to weddings, funerals and parties for their music.

Nhlonipho was still a young boy from School, it was difficult for him to attend funerals every weekend and e was scared to see the coffin, worse to see the corpse. He then asked one of the choir leaders (Ntokozo), if he could be excused from the choir because he couldn’t manage to see coffins every week.

He met one of my school friends in Umlazi, Sphamandla ‘Junior Mpila, who introduced him to his friend Thami “Sniper” Hlatshwayo who was a producer which led to them started a group called Team Skinny. The group was named after their skinny bodies as they were all skinny. With Team Skinny, things were channeled in the right direction.

 They joined a Company called Ghooso Entertainment, they recorded a couple of songs but the company management changed so things were not the same anymore. 2REAL and his friend decided to leave the company, but they continued with the name Team Skinny.

In 2016 and 2017, due to the lack of understanding the industry and music, they couldn’t last longer although some doors were opening for them, they had interviews in radio stations like Umhlobo wenene FM, Alex FM, Hillbrow FM to mention the few and their music was playing in these radio stations. They performed in one of the biggest events in Durban (Facts Durban Rocks). They also had a chance to perform in Sunrise Etv, but they had a misunderstanding they couldn’t see things the same way. They decided to separated ways and do singles.

Things started to be difficult for him as he lost his job in 2017 so life was not the same and other than that person who had seen you on tv, think that you have money because you once appeared on tv. It was difficult for him.

He has recorded an EP with three songs from the biggest studios in Johannesburg (Down Town Music hub and Don Laka studios), recorded by the best South African producers, which has opened doors for him again.

He has always looked up to musicians that are above his level and still do, his wish is to get more support from South Africa and be accepted as an upcoming artist and share his story with the world so that one day he will also be recognized like Casper Nyovest, Vusi Nova and Oskido just to name a few.

He recently visited different media sectors like Daily sun newspaper, Edgar's radio, Alex FM, Safm, Etv (The morning show), uMhlobo wenene etc. to mention the few to promote this concept of love.
