After recent successes of gaining airplay on Triple J’s Root’s n’ All program, winning the battle of the bands at one of Melbourne’s most loved venues Ruby’s Lounge, gaining a spot at an interstate festival (green Fest) kicking off the beginning of there first tour and frequently getting featured on the Triple j’s unearthed charts it is no doubt 2swai in their second year are set for bigger and better things.
2swai are an young roots music act who have incorporated there influences of blues, roots, funk and rock to develop a style of there own which is truly unique.2swai’s unique two man band approach also gains much attention with 19 year old front man David Cawse’s mesmerizing talent of being able to play guitar, belt out power full lyrics whilst playing solid drum beats played by his feet, as he does all this his side kick 19 year old Mathew Robb backs him up with creative emotive lead guitar playing.
After many years of playing in and out of bands the boys hadn't caught up in a while, suddenly out of nowhere one day they caught up started jamming and before they new it they where gaining quite a following locally and where gigging regularly. Within no time the boys where playing places they had only dreamed of and continue to do so in there quest to make their music heard.
