"Thank You 2V6 - Birmingham Steeldogs"

Thank you for singing the national anthem at the Birmingham Steeldogs game on July, 30, 2005. Your performance was the most unique and enjoyable of the entire season. The excited reaction and applause from the crowd and gamday staff was genuine, as we all thought 2V6 was great! We would love to have you back next season. - Amanda Morgan, Community Relations, Birmingham Steeldogs

"Crowd Gathers for Annual Juneteenth Heritage Festival"

If you were too short to see 2V6's silk-robe getup and baby-oil stage prop, you could hear the result. Teen-age girls leaned on the Zinn Park pavillion, letting out shrill screams and reaching for the hands of Kerry Marshall and Clifford Thomas. The duo behaved confidently Saturday, at times plucking girls from the crowd to move beside them on stage. - Anniston Star, Sunday, June 15, 2003

"Jacksonville State University Recommend 2V6"

Jacksonville State University's Multicultural Services booked...2V6 last February (2002) for Black History Month African American Pageant.
The students, faculty and staff truly enjoyed listening to their unique and rich sound during the pageant. They are blessed with and extraordinary gift. Their "down to earth" character combined with their stage presence and participation with the audience only added to the flavor of their performance. - David Zeigler, Director, Multicultural Services, Jacksonville State University, Alabama

"LoMo Magazine"

As owner of LoMo Magazine record label, professional musician and college music instructor I am pleased to recomend 2V6 as a truly unique group. A truly innovative group, they bring unique acapella approach to the R&B performance. Audiences seem to be mesmerized by their smooth voices harmonizing techniques. - Brian Moore, Publisher LoMo Magazine/BLive TV, Birmingham, AL.

"Outstanding Performance at Pro Basketball Game"

On behalf of the Birmingham Magicians, I want to personally thank 2V6 for their outstanding pre-game and half-time performance at our home game in January 2006. As a new professional sports franchise it is very important that we bring high quality entertainment
to our fans. Your group 2V6 met this expectation and exceeded it. The fans thoroughly enjoyed their great vocals and exciting show. I have no doubt that 2V6 will go far in the music business and we look forward to having them perform at future Magicians events.
Thanks again and feel free to use this letter as our high recommendation for 2V6.
- Reginald McDaniel, Owner, Birmingham Magicians

Bio

Throughout the years, vocal groups such as the 5 Satins, the Temptations, the Ojays, recent groups like Boys II Men, Dru Hill and Jagged Edge, duos like Sam and Dave, K-Ci and Jo-Jo have established a style of performance and sound of music unprecedented among all other styles. This experience has been more recently represented by the up and coming vocal group 2V6.

2V6 (256), consists of two Anniston, Alabama young men-- Shakerian (Kerry) and Cassanova (Clifford) whose style and drive shines brightly on every person they meet. Although this group is R&B/Urban, their individual tastes in music are extremely diverse; ranging from pop to neo-soul, doo-wop to reggae, hip-hop to rock guitar riffs. They also play drums, keyboard and saxophone.Their image and music touches on every facet of our society, from the old school smooth R&B love song to the newly defined genre cRunk&B and the driving upbeat Hip Hop mix.

Listening to a 2V6 song you may not realize it but all vocals --lead, harmony, background (with few exceptions) are entirely 2V6 on the microphone. They sound like a group of 4 or more singers. They have successfully entertained audiences at music festivals, night clubs, high school pep rallies, college events, step shows and professional sporting events such as the Birmingham Steeldogs arena football and Birmingham Magicians basketball games. 2V6 is a clique that's hard to playa-hate. Even one of their live acappella renditions of the National Anthem (Star Spangled Banner) has gotten them standing ovations. 2V6 released a full self-titled album in January, 2006 featuring the single "Ride". Their well choreographed shows are ready for your next party, prom, festival or special event.

***Highlights of the types of venues and audiences 2V6 has performed for from 2002 to 2006 include large family type crowds at the Selma Bridge Crossing Jubilee Festival, University of Alabama in Birmingham (UAB) Springfest, Juneteenth Heritage Festival (Anniston, AL), Birmingham Heritage Festival, Talladega College Springfest, and at the Tampax Total You Tour Talent Expo at the World Congress Center (Atlanta), Sweet Auburn Heritage Festival and at the Soul Food and Music Festival both also held in Atlanta.
They have also done high school pep rallies and football intermission shows. 2V6 was the half-time entertainment for the Ohio Valley Conference Women's Basketball Tournament (Round One) hosted by the Lady Gamecocks of Jacksonville State University. They performed at Hip Hop for Christmas Charity show at Studio 231 in Gadsden, Al. several nightclubs including the famous Cafe 290 in Atlanta. They also performed as a featured guest act at the New Artist Entertainment's Road to Stardom Talent Show (2005) and from that were invited to spend a week in Hollywood this past February (2006)with talent scouts from Showtime At The Apollo and performing and meeting other A&R Executives. This April they spent several weeks in New York City in order to perform twice at the world famous Apollo Theater and the Village Underground a well know jazz and R&B night club in the popular Greenwich Village section of New York among other appearances. And they made new fans in Florida appearing at the May Day festivals in Fort Walton Beach and in Crestview in May 2006.
