30,000 Days Bio

30,000 Days was formed in 2014 in Denver, Colorado with goal of writing and performing classic rock music. Big guitar sounds, fist-pumping rhythms, and most of all melodic hooks that stay in your head, long after the songs have stopped. Reminiscent of bands like Bad Company, Journey and Foreigner, 30,000 Days has a large portfolio of original music as well as select covers that reflect the band’s style and sound.  

Though all members sing, it is the combination of Lars' and Tracey's voices that produce the powerful and unique 30,000 Days melodies and harmonies.  The band is made of experienced and seasoned musicians with a penchant for performing live.

Band Members

Lars has been successful fronting bands as vocalist and lead guitarist in New England and New York since high school, playing clubs such as CBGB's in its heyday to opening for bands like Blue Oyster Cult, Nazareth and Extreme. Further honing his musical craft, Lars has also owned recording studios producing multiple artists over the last 20 years. Lars has unbridled passion for songwriting and is the principle songwriter for 30,000 Days. But he is also a dynamic and powerful live performer, whose energy is infectious.

Tracey is the other lead vocalist in the group, as well as keyboardist and percussionist.  She was raised with classical piano training in a very musical family giving her the foundation to blossom as both a vocalist and keyboardist. Live she is a powerful lead vocalist as well as visually captivating.

Joe is the backbone of 30,000 Days. He has performed his drumming duties in multiple original and cover bands, and lays down a solid beat, but he is also open to challenges and new ideas, including taking on backing vocal duties.

Ken is the band’s bassist and played in multiple bands in the midwest.   He is excited to be playing again, working with Joe to create the rhythmic palette on which Lars and Tracey paint. Ken also creates most of the 30,000 Days visual media.

Band Name

In researching facts for a eulogy written for one of the band member’s parents it was discovered that the average lifespan of a human being is 30,000 days.  The theme of the speech was centered around reflecting upon one’s life, and taking the litmus test for a life well-lived.  The band thought the name was provocative in that we live in a world of millions, billions and trillions, yet our most precious commodity, life, is only 30,000 Days.  The band name reflects the attitude the members love to embrace - to live life to the fullest and enjoy every moment.  That is reflected in their music.
