"AllMusic review"

"After one listen to the debut album by the one-man band 3108, it's easy to see why Bill and Lisa at Trouble in Mind were blown away when they received a demo in the mail and why they decided the label just had to release something as soon as possible. Tyler Zypreksa writes very, very catchy songs and records them so simply and brightly that each one bursts out of the speakers like an in-your-dreams hit single. Taking inspiration from a wide variety of sources, yet managing to sound completely original at the same time, 3108 is brilliant future pop that feels like a greatest-hits album. Maybe that's because he records a lot of songs and cherry-picked the best of them for his debut, but it really doesn't matter where they came from. Whether it's the easy-driving instrumental "Shooting Chickens" that kicks the record off with a giant melodic hook, the frenzied rocker "Ease Up" that ends the album with a burst of fuzzy energy, the Suicide doing the theme song for a John Hughes movie of "Go to Hell," or the echoing space doo wop of "Don't Start," Zypreksa shows he can spin gold out of any material. Add in some very '80s-influenced synth pop ("The Hunger"), a bit of hazy, slow-grooving drug rock ("Wildlife"), shimmering indie pop that calls to mind unsung heroes the Wake ("The Seasons"), and the super-cute, super-bouncy "Neon Crush," and it's clear that Zypreksa arrived to the party fully in control of his sound and approach. The way he mixes jagged guitars, cleverly programmed drums, and alternately wobbly and clear-as-a-bell synths is the work of a lo-fi master, and his urgently intimate vocals are the cherry on top of the shiny, happy sundae of sound. His confidence and skills shine through in every note on 3108, and it's both an immediately satisfying record and one that holds great promise for any future endeavors he undertakes. Even if he never records another note, the thrilling homemade pop of 3108 will still be out there to discover and fall in love with." - Tim Sendra, AllMusic - AllMusic

"Fuzz Drench review"

"[Trouble In Mind Record's]...current lineup is driven more by druggy dissertation, klutzy but melodic riffs and a connection you can feel deep down inside with the artist. Tyler Zypreksa aka 31Ø8 has created what is possibly the most focused of their newer releases. Every strum and sunny synth drop is made alone in the intimacy of his bedroom, a place where absolutely nothing is holding him back, and it shows...snag the LP (along with as many other TIM releases that you can afford) on some pretty hott flourescent pink vinyl." - Fuzz Drench - Fuzz Drench

"Ride A Dove review"

"31Ø8 is the moniker of London based artist Tyler Zypreska. His new seltitled album offers music that's incessantly catchy and a little goofy. With a vocal style somewhere between speaking and rock-singing, a synth-heavy sound, minimal drum computer beats and strong pop-oriented songwriting skills he creates a sort of feel-good album that accompanies your ears into summer. 31Ø8 takes the best parts of 80s synth-pop and 90s electronic music and mixes them with the catchiest sense of melody. The songs find a perfect balance between incredibly sweet harmonies and plenty of drive and spunk. With the help of a lush, fully developed and well-crafted sound and a smart instrumentation 31Ø8 creates pop-music that goes deeper than anything comparable." - Ride A Dove - Ride A Dove

3108  (2014, Trouble In Mind Records)

"3108 is the recording moniker of London-based musician and producer Tyler Zypreksa. With an aggressive synth pop sound, Zypreksa blends '80s-style electro-pop with a lo-fi aesthetic, adding his punchy, high-intensity vocals to the super melodic mix. After recording a huge backlog of songs at his home studio, he submitted an unsolicited demo to Chicago-based label Trouble in Mind Records. The label was so impressed, they immediately signed him, releasing 3108's self-titled debut LP in April 2014" - Timothy Monger, AllMusic

Following the release of 3108's debut album, Zypreksa formed a live band comprising himself, Jiri Svoboda (bass) and O
ndrej Novotny (lead guitar). In August 2015 the digital single Into The City / Aim was released receiving airplay on Seattle's KEXP, Jersey City's WFMU and BBC Radio 6 in the UK amongst others.
