3 If By Air is a four man rock cover band from the North and Northwest suburbs of Chicago. Our show is pure and unrestrained hard core music that is designed to make you kick up your feet, dance, and party all the way until the last call. Performing timeless sing-along classic rock to the hard hitting tunes of today, 3 If By Air will always provide an evening to remember.

Tim House – Mundelein, IL - Lead Vocalist
At the ripe age of ten, Tim started singing and performing in church choirs and musicals. As he got older and made his way into high school, he found himself performing in the “Lion’s Pride” an elite show choir while still singing in his church choir. Tim also embarked on a tour that took him from Springfield, IL all the way to Florida performing as the Lead Actor in the “Celebration Singers” choir. After high school, Tim kept a low profile performing on Karaoke nights at local bars. Although Tim was content with his karaoke fame, he knew that there was something else out there for him. One day, while Tim was perusing Craigslist looking for a guitar teacher for his son, he came across an ad entitled “Band Auditioning for Lead Singer.” Tim’s initial thought was “how cool would that be?” However, his insecurities got the best of him and he passed on it. Yet, the following week he decided to go for it, and the rest, as they say, is history. Tim feels that his cohorts in 3 If By Air are the best group of guys he could ever think about performing with, but he still refuses to play the Tambourine.

Paul Bell – Cary, IL – Lead Guitar/Vocals
Mrs. Bell's seventh son, Paul, wasn’t born in the traditional sense; he just appeared out of his brothers' and sisters' record collection. His addiction to music and performing spans many genres, however he owes his first taste of fame to the high pitched screams of kindergarten through fourth graders playing rock & roll guitar in his 8th grade talent show. After discovering the ways of the guitar, he left his violin in the closet and went on to play in rock bands throughout high school, college, and beyond. His playing would take him from a progressive rock band with Dan Leali (Liquid Soul, Blue Man Group, and others) to the Bozo show with a jazz percussion orchestra led by Duanne Thamm (drummer for Henry Mancini), the legendary Cotton Chicago nightclub in Chicago with Pete Cosey (Chess Records house band, Howlin' Wolf, Miles Davis, and others), and a cable access program with an all original psychedelic funk rock band. Paul has played in various bands and produced several recording projects with Mike Petrie for more than 10 years before finally hooking up with Jeremy Currens and Tim House to form 3 If By Air. Paul’s other main musical project, when he is not working with 3 If By Air, has him recording and producing many different artists at his Quietman Studios.

Jeremy Currens – West Dundee, IL - Bass Guitar/Vocals
Jeremy first found his love of music in middle school as his school's only tuba player. His fascination with all things in the bass clef quickly led to the allure of a beat-up Rickenbacker bass guitar and aspirations to play Wipeout for his fellow high school students during home football games. His musical adventures throughout school would take him all across the Eastern U.S. playing before thousands (but usually hundreds) of raucous marching band parents. Jeremy continued his musical experiences off the field as well. He has played in Jazz ensembles with such notable artists as Louis Bellson and Maynard Ferguson and played in many ensembles all over his hometown of Centerville, OH. In college, Jeremy continued his musical experimentation and added sousaphone to his proverbial trickbag....sure it wasn't Rock n' Roll...but he did get to play in front of 100,000 people...once. After college, Jeremy took a few years off from playing until joining a rock cover band, Loki's Joke, with some of his co-workers; which inspired him to bring his own special brand of music to the inebriated masses of the greater Chicagoland area. After a few years of jamming, Jeremy met up with Mike and Paul while playing in various projects. This led to the formation of one of the greatest rhythm sections this side of the Des Plaines Oasis. After adding Tim into the mix to form 3 If By Air, Jeremy is honored...nay...humbled to get to play with such talented and entertaining musicians. While not performing with 3 If By Air, Jeremy can also be seen around the Northwest suburbs of Chicago playing in many other groups...yeah he still plays the tuba too.

Mike Petrie – Hoffman Estates, IL –Drums/Vocals
