Bio

3 of His Kind is a Christian Hip-Hop group who ministers with an innovative approach through praise, worship, and inspirational music, with an urban perspective.

The vision that God has given 3 of His Kind is based on 1 Peter 2:9, to change the lives of people all over the world with the power Christ has given them; giving praise and reverence to their God who has made them His people. With this great vision, they are focused on reaching out to the hip-hop generation to inspire them to find their God-given purpose, show them they can experience God on their level, and give them an alternative to the secular music industry that is plaguing today's society.

God gave the vision to Servanthart (Patrick Varner) in 2001 to establish a Christian Hip-Hop group. His first intentions was merely to assemble a group of people who could take Christian Hip-Hip to the next level. But God expanded the vision when he spoke to Servanthart to recruit Lady Jae (Jessica Gourdine) who he met in high school, and U.N.I. (Marcus Harrell), his cousin, who were already involved in hip hop, to become a part of this music ministry. In 2002, they put their hands to the plow, and began to walk in the calling that God placed on their lives.

Under the leadership of Pastor Sam Gourdine of Abiding Word Family Ministries, and Dr. Dexter Easley of New Life Christian Fellowship, this group is compelled by The Great Commission to minister to the unsaved, unchurched, uncommitted, and untaught. From outreaches, schools, churches, detention centers and more, 3 of His Kind is touching the world with The Gospel of Jesus Christ through Christian Hip-Hop.

By being faithful to the call of ministry, and their local churches, they understand that God is taking them to the forefront of the music industry, reaching the masses, and leading souls to Christ.

Their music reflects that they serve a cool God, who loves the world, and wants to reconcile them back to Him, regardless of physical appearance, past experiences, and present mishaps.
