Tonight’s HFS Locals Only Spotlight exposes you to Baltimore pop punk band 3PM.
Introducing this band to you is an easy story: It’s three friends from Owings Mills who take their cues from pop punk predecessors like Blink-182, New Found Glory, and Yellowcard and belt out songs about how they refuse to grow up and demand to keep things fun…and that includes their music, which is packed with energy from start to finish.

Testing limits and breaking rules, 3PM is a young punk rock band you will fall in love with instantly. With two of the band’s members still in high school (secondary school for all you Brits), their level of talent and the maturity of their sound is incredibly impressive. Their music is catchy, upbeat and fun. Their songs reflect their attitudes and outlook on life mostly referring to their absolute refusal to grow up and ability to make everything fun. They spend most of their free time playing video games and following their favorite bands (fellow punk rockers such as Blink 182, Yellowcard and New Found Glory), that is of course when Brennan and Scott aren’t doing high school homework. They just recently released their debut EP called “T minus 3” and hope to spend the year touring and promoting it.
The guys produce a weekly web show with previous episodes detailing their attempt to eat extremely hot buffalo wings and their experiences in the studio recording their album. The show is released every Wednesday at 3:00 pm and it is guaranteed to make you laugh so be sure to check them out!

There’s othing better than getting home at the end of a long day and finding a friendly e-mail from a sick new band waiting in your inbox. That’s exactly what I got last night from Baltimore punk trio 3PM, consisting of Brandon Millman (drums), Brennan Stark (bass/vocals), and Scott Montgomery (guitar/vocals). Their passionate vocals, tight guitar riffs and youthful energy call to mind bands like New Found Glory, Blink-182, and Nada Surf. It can be tough to stand out in today’s saturated music industry, but these guys really have something special, and I for one am excited to see where they go next.
