400kW, from New South Wales, Australia are a hard-edged trio that play a traditional style of dirty rock and roll.

Cali Dave (vocals and guitar), El Jefe (bass) and Rob Mijatovic (drums) influences range from Motorhead to The Stooges and there is a distinct similarly with the latter.

The screaming, provocative vocals of Cali Dave and the Ron Asheton- esque guitar sound of epic swirls of aggression, aided by a sense of menace and compulsion is evident on all seven of the bands early recordings.

400kW describe their sound like: “13 bulldozers drag-racing down a steep hill.” The brutal intensity and heaviness on tracks such as the fast paced ‘Another Night In The West’ or the heavy blues stomp of ‘Nasty Dance’, 400kW are a band that play with self-assured swagger and confidence.

Currently, 400kW are playing small clubs and hotel lobbies in their native homeland, however with this amount of energy and vigour 400kW’s have a bright future.
