42 is a high energy rock 'n roll band of talented young musicians. Their music is appealing to all ages and includes popular covers of songs by Led Zeppelin, Guns 'N Roses, Metallica, Ozzy Osbourne, U2, The Police Lynyrd Skynyrd, Nirvana, Atreyu, Oasis, Bowie and many more. 42 has been entertaining audiences in numerous clubs and restaurants in Chicago's north suburbs, including The Landmark Inn in Northbrook, Hanson Brother's Tavern in Northbrook and C.J. Arthur's in Wilmette. They have also played at many community and school sponsored events including Glenview's 4th of July parade, Concert for Africa at Northbrook Junior High, Bandapalooza at Maple School in Northbrook, the JCC Maccabi Chicago Kick-off Party, and the Winnetka's Youth Organization’s Diversity Fest. The band originated in 2006 when it consisted of 4 members whose combined age equaled "42". The band has now grown to 5 members ranging in age from 13-16. 42 was recently invited to the Suburban Parks and Recreation Association’s annual showcase concert, so look for them at upcoming Park District events throughout Chicagoland.
