In fall 2008 they worked on their new album with Daniel Konold and Tobias Kurrle. 13 songs and over 60 Minutes of “weird mixture” is the end result of weeks of hard work in the studio. Since their founding in 2006 in Remscheid, 44U gained some life-experience. After some regional gigs (some with “Allee der Kosmonauten”) and on a few music festivals in Karlsruhe and Cuxhaven, they won the first price at the Art festival song-contest in Vienna (with Arne Kopfermann, Carola Caye and Johannes Radl in the Jury) with their song “This is you”, a video clip, which they will begin with working on soon. 44U- four musicians, writing songs about their everyday-life-experiences. The meaning of their lyrics are everything else then usual to them. “We write, play and experiment – this way we create our songs about and for Jesus.” 44U recommends a “seven-day-Jesus”-belief, which is not only preached on Sundays, but becomes real in your everyday life.
