4 GIVEN 4 is one of the hottest new Christian female rap groups to grace the gospel arena. Ministering under the anointment of the Holy Spirit, these four young ladies range in age from 12 to 16 years. They have truly been a blessing to others as they step out on stage mesmerizing the crowd. These 4 young ladies, originate from Indianapolis(Nap-Town)Indiana, where they began their group in August, 2003.
These young ladies have been deeply involved in various ministries throughout their lives at Phillips Temple CME Church. Not only are they rooted in church ministry, but also these ladies are descendants of a nationally known musical family, The Hamptons. They not only rap but also sing, dance and recite poetry.
At this time God has chosen to use these young ladies to reach a lost generation that is not moved by traditional hymns and anthems. In this time and age in which we live, young people need to witness and hear someone or something that they can relate to and these young ladies are convinced that nothing happens by accident but by the devine will of God.
The young ladies call themselves "4 GIVEN 4" because they believe that Jesus lived, died and rose so that we all can be 4 GIVEN 4 all our sins. They stand on the word of God in Psalms 32:1 which states in the NIV,
"Blessed is he whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered."
