Bio

Tiffany starting writing music at an early age; she started performing as an acoustic artist in NYC. The major influences for her music were artists such as the The Indigo Girls, Ani DiFranco and Nancy Griffith. She moved back to NC and met up with four other women to form Broken Crowns. Darby Odom was an original member of Broken Crowns and had a style like no other. With her Santana, Kiss and Metallica influences on lead, the music took on a new life. You will never see another female lead guitar player as amazing as she! For various reasons, the three remaining women moved on and Alan Bartee was the first member in a newly evolved Manic Muses. He had recorded us and been our right hand man during Broken Crowns, but his talent on the bass surpassed any other role. His funky bass lines and carefree attitude was a true asset! Ismail Abdelkhalek was a long time friend and formerly a member of Gripweed Manifold. We were sad to see that end, but it opened up a wonderful opportunity for us. Ismail can best be described as wild! He has an amazing energy and can light up a room, especially behind the drums. With the new influences from the new members, the music has taken on a life of its own. The subject matter and lyrics are still very powerful, but the energy is completely captivating! Manic Muses is one of few bands that has a stong female front, on vocals and lead guitar. Not mention we have a great since of humor...we recently played for a NC Pride event and won the best t-shrit award.
