"Ska Prom, May 30, 2009"

4 Point 0 just makes me very, very proud. They're still quite young, so they'll get even better, but they are already amazing. Too Hectic -> Short Round -> Straighter Than Pete -> Razbari Sumthing -> 4 Point 0. Except for Short Round, the others each took several years to get to the point where 4 Point 0 is now. I'm excited to see where this will end up. - SkaDanny, Syracuse Ska

"4 Point 0 in Ithaca"

4 POINT O BACK IN ITHACA!!! These cats straight up stole the show back in June, with IU’s big ol’ ska show. Back for another round before members depart for their respective colleges & universities, if you were not at the last show – you do not want to miss this band. Talk to those who were there, this is one of the most energetic and unique ska acts I’ve seen in quite some time. Two vocalists, instrument switching, phenomenal horn section, right rhythm section inducing skanking, circle pits, moshing and everything in-between. The best part is their crowd interaction. When one of the members didn’t have a part at the moment, they were right there in the pit with us. They turned a ton of heads at The Haunt that night and surely will this time. Holds the record for quickest sell-out of what I picked up from the distro. New album entitled “The College Try” due out this summer!!! - Bubba- Ithaca Underground

4 Point 0 began gaining its fan base in the Syracuse area during the summer of 2008 and since has continued to make great strides. After playing 20-some shows in the summer of 2008, 4 Point 0 released a 5 song EP titled "Making the Grade". Although the band only played shows once or twice a month due to most of its members attending college, the band continued to put on a great live set, and continued climbing in popularity. Their plans for the summer of 2009 are big, including a full album release in early July, as well as plenty of shows throughout New York and other northeastern states. 4 Point 0 expects to continue it's ascension in the music scene and has high hopes for the next few years, including touring regionally and nationally.

4 Point 0's music takes on many various genres, sometimes all in one song, but as an overall catagory 4 Point 0 is a ska-rock band. They have a horn driven, rock influenced third wave sound that energizes crowds and often leads to "skanking" and "circle pits". Streetlight Manifesto serves as the main influence and inspiration to the band, and 4 Point 0's music has often been compared to that of Streetlight's.
