Trio Awarded for "Best Performance - Nov 20th, 2006

Chicopee - A local singing trio, 4u2nV, was recently honored with the "Best Performance" award during a national music competition held at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
"It was awesome", group member Jonmichael Dumond said recently. "I can honestly say it was probably one of the most special experiences I ever had in my life".
The award, considered the most prestigious of the event was received during the USA World Showcase competition on November 18th.
Other members of the trio are Jimmylee Remillard and David Cancel, having performed together about 4 years. Dumond said. All are 19 years old and make their own music digitally and write their own lyrics.
"It's something we all feel", Dumond said. "We're not just working, just having fun. They're my best friends."
The bands name is based on a license plate seen by Remillard.
Cindy Stellato, Co-Manager stated that she was not surprised by the award "because they are very talented." They performed a song titled "No Need".
Dumond said the group performed on a large stage in Las Vegas in front of about 1,000 people and a panel of judges. Approximately 200 took part in the Las Vegas competition, reduced from thousands of original auditions, Dumond Said.
"Just thinking of the legends that performed at that vicinity it's just breathtaking", Dumond Said.
The group has performed at many venues since formed.
Dumond described the group's music as R&B with a little pinch of Pop".

An aspiring pop/R&B group from the City of Chicopee, 4u2nV (For You To Envy) will perform at the Ju Ke Lau on Memorial Avenue, Chicopee on Friday evening, March 3 at 8:30 p.m..
The three young men who comprise 4u2nV, Jimmylee, David Cancel, and Jon "Jay" Michael are all friends from school who began their musical careers as youngsters by winning talent shows and decided to band together to pursue their music careers.
Whether it be at schools, malls, talent shows, or clubs, 4u2nV lights up the stage. The group writes their own music, lyrics and choreographs their own dance moves. To them, it's not about fame and fortune. They strongly believe in their music and love performing.
Jimmylee is a vocalist, songwriter and producer. He spends many hours in his recording studio either writing songs or producing new tracks for the group. Over the past few years, Jimmy molded his skills as a performer by performing at venues, including Radio Disney and carnivals.
David Cancel is a vocalist and co-producer. David is dedicated to singing and performing and spends all of his free time either perfecting his vocal skills or teaching himself to play the piano and guitar.
Jon "Jay" Michael is another vocalist and songwriter. His passion for music began as a youth as he taught himself to sing and play the drums. With a background in different genres of music, "Jay" becomes a big part in creating catchy melodies and lyrics for the group.
While 4u2nV has been able to successfully write and produce their own music, they are ghoping to cross into the professional playing field and are looking to sign with with a major record label. With an established label, they will be able to properly promote their first CD entitled "4u2nV". - Agawam Advertiser

4u2nV has performed at several venues i.e.: Radio Disney, Six Flags New England, the USA World Showcase, Las Vegas where they were the recipient of the Best Performance Award, Hampton Beachs 100-year celebration; they were invited back to perform at the Hampton Idol Competition where there were thousands of spectators and many more.
4u2nVs self-titled debut album 4u2nV has been busy garnering support from fans and critics. The group has been making its mark in the indie scene and is ready to break into the big time. While we have been able to successfully write and produce our own music, to cross into the mainstream playing field, we are looking to collaborate with other Artists and Major Industry Professionals to produce our second album.
