Raised in the small town of Earth Texas, 5ive became acquainted with drugs at a young age. He started to smoke weed at the age of 10 and for 4 years he did a bunch of things he is not proud of. When he was 14 years of age a couple of friends invited him to a Disciple Now and he gave his life to the Lord. One year later he was given a prophecy, that he was going to lead a lot of young people to the Lord, but at the age of 16 he started to veer away from the Lord. He picked up the habit of smoking weed again but this time he also started to do cocaine. At age 22 he was addicted to crack cocaine and was in and out of jail on drug charges. At the age of 23 he was sentenced to 180 days in jail and while he was locked up he promised God that he wouldn’t smoke weed again. Upon his release from jail he tried to smoke but the guilt was too much to bare, so he did stop smoking marijuana. But it didn’t end there. Although he no longer smoked he was thrown back into the world of cocaine which led to an addiction to crystal meth. That is when the Lord really started to deal with him. One night while he was on meth the Lord began to speak to him and after he was arrested that night he knew the Lord was calling him. Yet and still he continued to run for another month or so. One day while he was at home and had been up all night high on meth he was watching a praise-a-thon and the Lord used the man on the T.V. to talk to him. That day he made up his mind that he would follow the Lord and on November 7th 2010 he and his wife surrendered their lives to the service of Jesus Christ.
