Still working on that hot first release.

5rings, self proclaimed "the few",  is a collective of 3 male artists that share the belief of pushing the hip hop culture to new boundaries. Traveling around the world has always been a reality and not a dream, but it all made sense when they set eyes on a city, they will call home: HOUSTON, TX

S.U.P, Flexy and Triple-I all moved from west Africa to attend the university of houston, where they first met. while every single member  following their  paths as solo artists, they realized that unity is the key to success. The broad cultural knowledge and openness bring an edgier, bold new character and flavor to the type of music they make. In 2008 five rings was born, they dropped their first mixtape project in 2013 called - No Room For Mixtapes. Triple-I : " I oversee everything before we put it out, if it is the right move for us,when, where, how should we put it out. That's my job, as long as s.u.p oversees the production side and flex ,you know ,always approaches the track from another angle ,that just keep us on the edge and give us the versatility. As long as we have that going we will always remain relevant".

Even though residing in Houston, 5rings consider themselves true artists with influences all over the world and approach every piece with a new and unique perspective which set them apart from your typical rapper. To describe the 5rings sound, it is easy to see that they are influences with southern heavy instrumental sounds meshed with real  issues within our culture. Their vast array of influences varies from the Fugees, Bob Marley to DMX, Tupac, Jay-Z, Scarface, UGK, and even French Hip-Hop like IAM, Oxmo puccino and Lunatic.

5rings stands for dedication and discipline; S.U.P:"we are dedicated to speak for the ones that tend to be neglected and don't have a voice, just yet, which we like to call - the Few"
