5th Gear are a Traditional bluegrass band out of the North West United States.
In a time when Bluegrass is weathering many changes in the music industry. And increasingly becoming more and more commercial. 5th Gear embraces the down home feel of earlier bands like the Stanley Brothers or Jimmy Martin. Embracing modern ideas instrumentally while trying to retain the down home excitement that is early bluegrass!
