Bio

6 Days to Nowhere (San Mateo, CA) first formed in December 2004, and then immediatly went on hiatus while frontman Brendan McCarthy served a 14-month stint in San Quentin State Penitentuary.

Upon Brendan's release in April 2006, the band reformed and hit the ground running. The first show was at Slims in San Francisco, where over 200 people showed up to an 8:00 slot.

6 Days to Nowhere does not follow trends. Trying to develop a fan base in the San Francisco Bay Area has proved challenging and, at times, disheartening. Saturated with indie-type bands that flood the airwaves of local radio giant Live 105.3, 6 Days does not fit with the pop/rock crowd, as they are too heavy. Inversely, 6 Days does not fit in with he underground metal scene that still thrives, as they are not heavy enough.

Instead of conforming, 6 Days to Nowhere creates music that is reflective of their individual influences, such as Tool, The Smashing Pumpkins, and the Deftones. The product: blazing hard rock, intertwined with melody and raw energy. Any live show, whether for 100 people or 10, conveys this.

6 Days to Nowhere has played Slim's, The Great American Music Hall, and the Red Devil Lounge in San Francisco, The Phoenix Theater in Petaluma, and the Viper Room w/ Vast in LA.

UPDATE 4/1/08!!!

Second EP "Victim's Wish" set to be released before the month is out, featuring 5 all new blistering tracks including the genre blending "Sepia" and the 7-minute behemoth "Quarantined".
