6 Days to Nowhere

BandRockMetal

6 Days to Nowhere is the vehicle for revolution, in a country that is sedated by the illusion of freedom. Dedicated to preserving all that is left of the human spirt by celebrating it through song, we strive to give voice to those who cannot be heard, to those who know we are doomed without change..

Biography

6 Days to Nowhere (San Mateo, CA) first formed in December 2004, and then immediatly went on hiatus while frontman Brendan McCarthy served a 14-month stint in San Quentin State Penitentuary.

Upon Brendan's release in April 2006, the band reformed and hit the ground running. The first show was at Slims in San Francisco, where over 200 people showed up to an 8:00 slot.

6 Days to Nowhere does not follow trends. Trying to develop a fan base in the San Francisco Bay Area has proved challenging and, at times, disheartening. Saturated with indie-type bands that flood the airwaves of local radio giant Live 105.3, 6 Days does not fit with the pop/rock crowd, as they are too heavy. Inversely, 6 Days does not fit in with he underground metal scene that still thrives, as they are not heavy enough.

Instead of conforming, 6 Days to Nowhere creates music that is reflective of their individual influences, such as Tool, The Smashing Pumpkins, and the Deftones. The product: blazing hard rock, intertwined with melody and raw energy. Any live show, whether for 100 people or 10, conveys this.

6 Days to Nowhere has played Slim's, The Great American Music Hall, and the Red Devil Lounge in San Francisco, The Phoenix Theater in Petaluma, and the Viper Room w/ Vast in LA.

Lyrics

Sepia

Written By: Brendan McCarthy

Got enough to get me by, but come tomorrow she'll be cryin', hold you close to serve your purpose, why.....confess come on and tell me

why i'll trade all thats left for just enough to hold on and i will try to understand just what it means to belong to sepia.

bitter cure your bold and blindin' cannot breathe but i'm still denying the consiquence you rain down on my life.

and tell me

why i'd trade all thats left for just enough to hold on and i will try to understand just what it means to belong to sepia.

(rep. chor)

Feed

Written By: Brendan McCarthy

no i dont want a chance at nirvana, i feel better in the chaos of today. but i bet you im gunna flounder within the birthing of this chemical release.........love to me is exanimate.

Say that you want me , say that you need me, and ill teach you to feed, Say that your hopeless, say your diseased. Teach you to feed.

No i dont want a shot a nirvana, i feel at peace here in the decay that i lay, but i bet you im gunna revel in your trauma so i can savor that look upon your face...........love to me isn't adequate.

(chor.)

Bridge my thoughts to one cohesive vision straight jackets my limit.

(Chor- tell me it's over and finally your free, show me your starving and ill teach you to feed.

Seems Like Salvation

Written By: Brendan McCarthy

And to what end
you slowly seem to fade
across the stars and through my life
impoverished world of shame
adding pressure to insane

i've been buried so solitary
my sole salvation operated
so long i've waited to see
all devotion i put in motion
my sole salvation operated
so long i've waited to see

your sickest grin
slowly saturates
this deepest scar you've brought to life
for nothing but your gain
my writhing skin remains

i've been buried so solitary
my sole salvation operated
so long i've waited to see
all devotion i put in motion
my sole salvation operated
so long i've waited to see

i'll retain the ways of pain but your breakin me slowly

i've been buried so solitary
my sole salvation operated
so long i've waited to see
all devotion i put in motion
my sole salvation operated
so long i've waited to see
