6 Deuce began when bass player Matt Conaway met guitarist Mark Jones while attending the Atlanta Institute of Music. Upon graduation, singer Jeremiah Brock teamed up with the duo to play many trio style gigs in the Rome Ga area. With much jamming, and an arsenal of seasoned drummers, the core three members became known as 6 Deuce; for their similarity of being each in fact 6 foot 2". Gigs in the Rome, GA area began rolling in and the band actually became the house band at Buffalos bar and grille. The band soon ventured out into Chattanooga, Tn where the addition of Ben Ging on drums took the band to a whole new level. Their main set list consists of about 70 top forty rock/blues/funk covers. The quartet is musically trained, with backgrounds ranging from rock, blues, rap, and metal, to pop, country, and funk. The band is hard at work now songwriting for the future release of their LP. 6 Deuce combines the best these styles have to offer and have created a sound that invokes bluesy rock with a southern flavor. With riffs rockin’ enough for the guys and lyrics gentle enough for the ladies, 6 Deuce is definitely a band to be on the lookout for in the near future.
