Seven Seaz Bio

Seven Seaz consists of seven lyricists and a dj and is the pioneer group of
Full House Productions and Entertainment, Inc based out of Greensboro, NC. The Seven Seaz formed in 1996 when the first four members mentioned above who had a group at the time called “HedSwelluz” decided to join forces with the other three. Cheekbone was introduced to the group through a common friend and after hearing the street freestyles of the group, was asked to become the group’s premier DJ in 1997. The number seven represents a number considered to be the perfect number in most traditional religions. This is parallel to the Seaz believing they have the “Perfect Number” of ingredients for the hip-hop recipe. “Seven Seaz” symbolizes the unity the possess outside of the music as all the seas of the earth serve their individual purpose in nature. One unique characteristic about the group is that each of them were particularly close to another member growing up in NC: JB and FGD, Freeze and Rock, Cheekbone and Sufi, Skillz and Pak. JB, Freeze, Rock, and FGD have all known each other since 1990. The “HyLanderz,” or “HLP” is the name of their whole street family which includes other producers such as Charlee Hesston, and infamous area hypeman Eddie Cheese. To date, the “Seven Seaz” have completed
two albums : The Genesis and The Perfect Number which have both had
tremendous success on the underground scene in NC. In addition, several members have won the coveted “Verbal Abuse” and “Poetry Cafe” freestyle competitions as well as others. Seven Seaz are versatile and have an unusual yet magnetic
chemistry which makes them stand out because none of them sound alike or
imitate more recognized artists.
