Bio

It’s been an almost three year sculpting period that would define the four-piece band that is 7StukkeSilwer as one of the most entertaining stage show productions in its genre. This Afrikaans hard-rock outfit from Pretoria started off in 2007 and with recent successes with three music videos featured on MK324; “Skuld op Aanvraag” featuring Afrikaans Rock princess Babette , “Verander vir Ander” and “Genoeg” as well as recording their 7 track EP album “Verlig die Seer”, 7StukkeSilwer has progressively grown to the point where they could successfully hold their own when sharing stages with bands like Van Coke Kartel, Foto na Dans, Straatligkinders, Zebra and Giraffe, Cutting Jade, Chromium as well as the infamous Fokofpolisiekar.
7StukkeSilwer’s music can be described as hard and aggressive guitar riffs, powerful drumming with melodic and harmonious vocals...with an extremely aerobatic stage performance. With lyrics investigating the rise of the “New alternative South-African” in a mostly negative environment, 7StukkeSilwer’s message is one of positivity, originality and acceptance of different cultures and personal views.
More recently, 7STUKKESILWER have started an anti-racism campaign called Genoeg / Enough. The idea behind the campaign is to gather support for the group and cause through social platforms like FaceBook and Twitter in an effort to eradicate racism amongst South African proving that racism is not a hereditary disease any more.
With a lustrous Internet fan base across their various platforms, 7StukkeSilwer is reaching ears all over South Africa and with a distribution deal with Thornrose Records on the horizon, Afrikaans Rock enthusiast will soon be able to acquire “Verlig die Seer” throughout SA.
