Bio

Benny E. Sanches is a native of Houston, Texas. Benny grew up inspired by both kinds of music - Country AND Western - and still appreciates the works of artists like Willie Nelson and Johnny Cash. In his teenager years the sounds of the 80's caught his attention and inspirations of that era included Duran Duran, Depeche Mode, Tears for Fears and so on. From there, and into the 90's, Benny began collecting records and soon started discovering the underground sounds of Industrial music. His first love of Industrial was Nitzer Ebb, Meat Beat Manifesto and Front 242 to name a few. From there the Acid House movement brought bands like Baby Ford, EON and C.C.C.P. into Benny's record crate.

After several years of collecting records and working at the world famous Enron Corporation Benny decided to escape the corporate world and bought his first synthesizer and sampler. It wasn't long until he moved to San Francisco, California to pursue a career in electronic music production.

Since the move to San Francisco in 1994, Benny has been fortunate enough to pack quite a few hits into his portfolio. Hits include remixing "I Feel Love" by Depeche Mode, writing commercial jingles for MTV and Sony's Tomb Raider III and various tracks for USA Network's "Burn Notice", "Species : The Awakening" and so on.

Other releases include co-writing and engineering a full-length dub and trip hop album titled VERSION : Gardens of Utopia on New Blues Musik. Benny just completed a self titled 2 CD album called "8 Bit Orbit" and is working on taking his show on the road.
