Lesotho’s 8thPlanet drops Exes, an RnB-tinged track about a lack of reciprocation from a love interest. Breanna Marin does a splendid job on the chorus, between the 20 year old rappers heartfelt verses. The Cape Town-based artist is currently working on his second EP called 8 and Beyond which we should keep an eye out for. - African Hip Hop Blog

My journey as a song writer, Hip-Hop artist and co-founder of the Sotho Clique movement started as a hobby at age 11, back when everybody was recording with headphone mics. The greatest influences towards my growth were Immortal Technique and Vinnie Paz at the time. My recent sound influences are however Russ, Sy Ari da kid and Locksmith, although lyricism is still heavily influenced by Immortal Technique and Vinnie Paz. My career took off on a serious note after the "Butle Wena" hit single that was released in mid-2014 that featured Kraydmind (a member of Sotho Clique). After that, an EP called "The Beginning" about depression that comes with the pressures and expectations that come with chasing dreams. On July 30th, 2017, a single from my second EP called "8 & Beyond"(Pronounced: Infinity and Beyond, release in 2018), Exes was released. It has since been making waves on radio stations in Lesotho. A week after the release, it was featured twice as part of the top 3 local tracks on 375fm on the show "The Plug with Patrick". What will make the 2018 year different for the up and coming rapper is consistency.
