Still working on that hot first release.

Coming from the greater Cleveland area is one of the hottest and most electrifying MC’s to touch the hip hop scene in a long time. With his energetic and breathtaking performances dazzling audiences from young to old, Cleveland brings to you Lucky. Inspired by Cleveland’s own Bone Thugs ~N~ Harmony, Lucky initially broke into the local music scene upon his graduation from high school back in 2002. He was one-third of a rap trio called the Melodik Hustluz. The Melodik Hustluz would perform everywhere they could, including festivals, malls, clubs, local TV programs and the world renowned Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. After winning a competition and releasing an album, the group unfortunately split apart after a short two year run.
Starting 2004 off on his solo career, Lucky would move on to perform around the state of Ohio including a show for the Ohio Youth for Justice Summit. Highlighting that year, Lucky attended the Congressional Black Caucus in Washington DC. Here he met the likes of Russell Simmons, Chuck D, and Doug E. Fresh (just to name a few). From 2005 to 2007 Lucky would go forward to perform in countless underground shows, headline school tours, and open up for mainstream artists such as Bizzy Bone of Bone Thugs ~N~ Harmony, Ray Cash, Mike Jones, Lil Flip, and Mims to name a few. Lucky’s music has been played numerous times on underground college radio as well as on commercial Radio One programming. He has also been a guest on each.
When asked where he got his love for music, Lucky replied “growing up as a kid I remember music always being played around the house—from my mother and her old school jams to my father and his variety. My father listened to everything from jazz to r&b to soul to blues to gospel—he listened to it all”. Lucky’s father was a radio disc jockey for many different radio stations and has a deep love and ear for music. “I recall watching him record and edit demos to submit for different jobs at radio stations”.
Lucky draws inspiration from many different artists, but the Three that are at the top of his list are Jay-Z , Prince and Michael Jackson. Bone Thugs ~N~ Harmony also had a huge influence on Lucky’s earlier stages of his career. One night after a Bone concert, Lucky had an opportunity to rap for Krayzie Bone. Mimicking their fast paced flow, Lucky spits a verse for his idol. Krayzie Bone is quoted saying “you definitely have flow”. Lucky’s flow is only part of what makes him one of the hottest MC’s hailing from the Midwest; his creativity, stage presence, and charismatic swagger sets him apart from the competition.
