The group "A3 Apulia Project" is by Fabio Bagnato, author, composer and guitarist specializing in the study of “battente” guitar, classic instrument of the popular tradition of 'Southern Italy.
The project, taking its name from the famous highway in the south (the Salerno - Reggio Calabria), intends to take a trip in the Mediterranean Sea has always been the bearer of new cultures that blend the ancient traditions of Southern Italy.
Everything is done with an eye for innovation, featuring songs of original composition-style folk, folk-rock, "world" and approaching the magical sounds of “battente” guitar, accordion and tambourine, more modern as that of electric bass , the cajon (South American tradition of classical instrument) and drums.
One day Martino Mimmo, a poet of Calabria, said: "... a people without history is like a tree without roots.... will die " . A3 wants to do that: music for an old story, scraping the strings of memory, pinching the vein of memories, to travel the old road to new horizons.
The group consists of 6 musicians and a dancer very valid: Fabio Bagnato (“battente” guitar - acoustic guitar - Calabrian Lira - vocals), Walter Bagnato (accordion - piano - synth - vocals), Pasquale Lamparelli (tambourine - vocals), Domenico Mininni (cajon - darabouka - congas), Francesco Rossini (bass guitar), Giacomo de Nicolo (drums - special effects) and Rossella di Terlizzi (dance).
