It seems only fitting that Aaron Boltons debut album In My Head will be released during the 2009 Tamworth Country Music Festival. In 2007, Aaron became the talk of the town when his track Rockin Up, written by Daniel Conway (Chasing Bailey), was chosen to be the theme song for Tourism Tamworths advertising campaign for the country music festival. Rockin Up was included on all national advertising for the festival and the film clip for the track spent 4 weeks atop the CMC chart.
Spending his formative years living in Grafton, NSW, Aaron Bolton spent his youth achieving high level results on the Australian Country Music talent quest circuit. Crowned Queensland Champion of Champions and graduating from the prestigious Camerata Country Music School in 2002, he then attended the CMAA College of Country Music in 2003.
He took to the road touring with the 29th Brian Young Tour - a tour that travels up to 35000 klms in 3 months. Brians legendary show has been touring the regional areas of central and northern Australia performing in pubs, country towns and remote Aboriginal communities for over 30 years. Brian Young has helped cement the careers of Troy Cassar-Daley, Travis Collins and Beccy Cole on his tours.
Being involved with Brians show was a great experience for me Aaron said. Being on tour for such a lengthy period of time, and in some pretty remote areas of Australia showed me how the original travelling showmen of Australian country music did it. Being out there, performing to people in their communities is a real treat.
Aaron moved to Tamworth and in the past 12 months, has been focusing on creating his debut album In My Head.
Working with prestigious producer, Matt Fell at LoveHz Studios in Sydney, the result is a rock driven country album. With tracks written by Aaron, a few written by friend Daniel Conway and the first single released from the album, Just A Lie, penned by contemporary singer songwriter, Rick Price.
Being such a huge Rick Price fan, I couldnt believe that he would allow me to record this fabulous song on my album said Aaron. I was completely blown away by the track and knew I had to record it
Aaron has the gift of versatility - a big warm voice that melts an audience with glorious ballads such as the exquisite Love Me, and yet everyone dancing in the aisles when he rocks it out with fresh youthful songs such as Wanna, Rockin Up and In My Head.
