He's blurs the lines between gypsy jazz, throwback folk and singer/songwriter fare for a compelling Django Reinhardt-Woody Guthrie-James Taylor ménage a trios.

Aaron Bowen proves that an improbable combinations of instruments and genres can work. He mixes a Dixieland-style banjo, lonesome lap steel guitar, and a wonky accordion with his own syrupy vocals in a way that honors past eras of popular music while creating an innovative and relevant work of art. Aaron proves boldly, "There's more out there than what we're used to hearing."

Bio
When you think about 'art' your mind is probably led toward canvasses of oily classics or undecipherable works of modern elitism. The music and creative energy of Aaron Bowen likely won't feature near the top of your list; that is, until you've spent an hour or so in his company where you'll find that for once, the term 'true original' is deserved and appropriately applied. Bowen has earned widespread recognition as a world-class guitarist and songwriter through his unique style and technique which blends timeless acoustic hand-me-down traditions with popular contemporary sensibilities. Best described in terms of the weather; Bowen's art and music are a rainy Seattle morning, a blistering midday in western Texas or a lazy Parisian spring afternoon that take you away from the physical surroundings of your listening space to a place where you'll always be moving to the tune of a flute and the feet of the piper who plays it. Once you've been on this journey, hushed, musty museums will seem like an enormous waste of time and money
