"I can't forget the first time I heard Aaron's music, and ultimately, that's what makes something special. It stays with you, long after your first meeting. His music does that." Lyal Allan, Editor Ploratus Vox.

Biography

Aaron has been involved in roots music since around the same time he remembers his parents having musical jam sessions in the back 40 around a giant campfire with many friends and an old piano being hammered on while sitting in the back of a pick-up truck.

Since that time he has traveled across his own country of Canada, much or Europe and got his love for roots music reformed while traveling and living in Texas and playing in a country band.

"I didn't know what I was doing there. These things just kind of happen... if you're open to it."

After returning to Canada he worked with the group Militis Rue, writing songs and playing guitar, but felt that the simplicity and beauty of music must also be expressed and Aaron feel's that is done best on things that don't need electricity.

"You've gotta create your own electricity by what you sing about and how you play. That's how you know if the music is really alive, or if it's just plugged in to some amp... slowly dying on life support..."

Aaron is, at present, recording his first "official" roots music release entitled "Default Souls" and should be popping up at folk music festivals near you.

Set List

I play mostly all original music. If I happen on a cover, it must mean something to that moment.
