Bio
Born and raised in Washington DC, Aaron Shneyer’s music is the most eclectic mix of American music you will find. Rooted in the blues and drawing on the stirring melodies and grooves of bossa nova, jazz, soul, folk, punk, reggae, and hip-hop, Aaron has created a collection of sounds and styles that crosses all boundaries.
The twenty one year old singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist has performed across the U.S., Europe and South America and in nearly every venue in Washington, DC, ranging from more intimate hotspots like BOSSA and DC9 to much larger, highly prestigious venues such as the Kennedy Center. In 2004 he had the honor of performing his own compositions alongside Grammy winner Bobby McFerrin at the McDonough Arena.
He is without a doubt one of the most original and promising young artists on the East coast. Aaron just took his axe up to NYC and is quickly making his niche.
Aaron’s new album “Auto-Retrato: Have You Heard?” was officially released on April 21, 2005 by TwoLight Records.
