ABOUT AASIM:
Growing up in New York City, AASIM was heavily influenced by the early sounds of Hip hop. AASIM, first picked up the mic at the age of 12, and just five years later he was signed to Loud Records’ by then A&R, Schott Free. Things dramatically changed after the untimely death of his label mate and friend BIG PUN, which caused AASIM to walk away from Loud Records and the music industry. However, after two years and the events of 9/11, AASIM knew he had to return to his first love, music. AASIM made is re-entry into music with former BIG PUN DJ, LV and former Loud Records A&R Sean C collaborated to form Grind Music. Sean C & LV are the production team behind Jay-Z’s #1 Album “American Gangster”
Aligning with Sean Diddy Combs & Bad Boy Records:
It was through a 2004 on-air appearance that hip-hop icon and label-owner Sean “Diddy” Combs first heard AASIM, Diddy was so impressed he signed him to his Bad Boy Records label. AASIM has since been declared the future of New York hip-hop by the Bad Boy Records founder. Since being signed AASIM has dropped what XXL calls classic material via the mixtape circuit: “Spell My Name Right”, “Money Pit” & “The Departed”. With his Bad Boy Entertainment full-length debut album scheduled for release in 2012, AASIM came back with another game changing masterpiece titled “OFF THE SHELF” his first mixtape release in three years. AASIM has been busy as not only an artist but as a song writer/producer. He has written songs such as: “Tell Me” featuring Diddy and Christina Aguilera, “Get Buck In Here” featuring Diddy, Ludacris, and Akon, “Love Come Down” featuring Diddy Dirty Money and “When I Grow Up Remix” featuring The Pussy Cat Dolls & Diddy, along with countless other records.
Now with all eyes on AASIM, he continues to deliver mixtape after mixtape. In a few short months he has delivered several critically acclaimed music “Money Pit 2” “We Invented the Remix” and “Money Pit 3”. Now with AASIM his own imprint Social Club Entertainment, Inc AASIM welcomes all to his SOCAIL CLUB!
