Bio

This Chicago native began rapping in the late 80’s. He named himself “Juganot” after his favorite Marvel character. “Juganot “jumped in and out of rapping, sports, and being involved with Chicago’s street life. In 1996 “Juganot” decided to settle down and join a local rap group named “Grand Dynasty”. In mid 1997 “Grand Dynasty” released their first CD “I Die Daily”. Being surrounded by more experience artist “Juganot” was exempt from several songs because of his lack of flow, being too lyrical, but mainly because of his complex style. br

In early 2002, pushed by the neighborhood response and the success of “I Die Daily” the group releases its second CD “Americaz Nitemare Project 2 “.During the production of the new CD, the group felt “Juganot” needed a name change, so they came up with Abbadon (meaning destroyer of man) to showcase his now, more aggressive flow, with witty and less complex lyrics. Soon after ”Juganot the Abbadon” became a force within the group, showing not only that he was able to be on the same tracks with two of the most recognized rappers in the neighborhood, but that he could also hold his own on the up coming CD “Americaz Nitemare Project 2”. “Americaz Nitemare Project 2” was a success in the neighborhood. This gave “Grand Dynasty” two neighborhoods recognized CDs. Full with confidence the group began entering themselves into talent shows and contests. At that same time “Juganot the Abbadon” started entering himself into solo freestyle battles to boost his popularity. Still not one of Grand Dynasty’s fan favorites! He decided to record and release his first solo CD to prove that he was more than a tag along. The CD was named, “Eyes Wide Shut.” The late 2002 release of “Eyes Wide Shut” got a great response which led to radio play, shows, local cable TV performance, and a little profit. Mainly “Eyes Wide Shut” party song titled “Hold me up” branched throughout the city, but the CD just ended up being a self named group CD.brIn 2004 “Juganot the Abbadon” moved to Manassas, Va. Still pushing his CD “Eyes Wide Shut “. He dropped “Juganot “ from his name, then began working the Va., DC, Maryland underground scene, battling and hitting mix tapes with local artist. For the first time “Abbadon” had a fan base of his own. brIn mid 2004 “Abbadon” began working on his second solo CD “It Is What It Is“ Which was set to be released in late 2004, and in his eyes it was thought to be the one! But an unexpected move to Columbus, GA caused the CD to be released in late 2005. “It Is What It Is ” did not reach its full potential, because of Abbadon’s lack of knowledge in his new surroundings. “Abbadon” is now living in a city with lack of producers, engineers, and quality studios, but with a few connections and a lot of hustling “Abbadon” has put together his third CD “Only Way Out Is In “which he says to be quote “some of my greatest work to date”.
