"....if there were more women in the room the panties would be thrown at you tonight!" - Graham Nash Rock 101 (Vancouver)

Due out this summer

Abbas “Stringz” Khan got started playing guitar at age 7 when his uncles friend hand delivered a guitar made up of broken stage bits to his door. He was born and raised in the Vancouver rock music scene of the 80's and 90's as his uncles owned a recording studio and small management company at the time. He was inspired by all kinds of music growing up& he would translate his musical findings through his own voice in the school choir as well. Although he started writing his own music at a young age it wasn’t until he was 13 that he recorded his first song called "you're in2 me" with his uncle doing production. “Stringz” also got into his first high school band at this time and was to consistently play with quite a few local bands around his hometown all through his teenage years. In 2001 Stringz won 1st and 2nd round slots in VH1's GUITARMAGGEDON guitar competition in the US. Taxi and V2 records of England hailed his tapes of this time with some great praises. Abbas continually developed his abilities artistically and visually constantly refining and redefining himself throughout the musical spectrum.

Kubas Oms was once quoted as saying that" Stringz plays Spanish guitar so uniquely".

Graham Nash from Rock 101 stated at the ROCK 101 ULTIMATE JAM competition "if there were more women in the room the panties would be thrown at you tonight!"

Stringz took home the second place slot when he played and sang a cover of Hey Joe that evening. Stringz was 1 of only 3 participants to be featured on the Television airing of CTV's CANADIAN IDOL last year he had to battle out 2500 participants from all over BC to get to the celebrity judging round seen as on TV.

Khan does a solo act and also heads a hard rock band called "Manic Khan".
