Bio
Abdas Ernesto Garcia (born Feb.15th, 1978) is a Puertorican singer-songwriter whose musical style encompasses folk, latin and world music. He was born in Santurce, Puerto Rico and graduated from the Escuela Libre De Musica where he studied Guitar and Percussion. He won an International Talent Show at the age 14 on the hit television show Sabado Gigante imitating music legend Tito Puente with whom he performed on various occasions. After moving to the U.S and working as a professional line-cook for several years he began to pursue a career in music again. Since that time Abdias has recorded 3 albums on Tacatantan Records and has performed with acts such as Keith Secola, Donna The Buffalo, Marcia Griffiths and DaVille His musical productions have been featured in two award-winning independent films The House That Jack Built and Pui Chan: Kung Fu Pioneer. In 2013, his self-produced album Mas Colores y Menos Horrores was funded entirely by a successful crowd-funding campaign and released on Vinyl. Abdias is currently working on his 4th full-length album slated for release this Summer.
