New band featuring former members of Crossbreed and Unload set to Expload.

A Beautiful Tragedy is a Mainstream Alternative Rock band and was formed in January of 2012 from the ashes of relatively successful National and Regional bands such as one time former Billboard nominee for "Best New Artist" and former Artemis/Sony Recording band Crossbreed and Regional based successful band Unload (HPRec) among others. Based out of the KY and OH regions A Beautiful Tragedy or ABT for short features Jason Sturgeon (Born To Remain, Unload) on vocals carrying a strong smooth vocal style that standouts from other bands in their genre. Steve Potter (Unload) handles the delicate and diverse guitar duties and is one of the main song writers in the band. Mike Ferrell (Crossbreed, Spun, Pilot The Machine) carries the bottom end with his versatile and big bottomed bass sound and Zach "Magic" Holbrook (Before the Predicate) lays down tight thunderous drum beats with impeccable timing. Their debut 5 song ep features radio ready tunes such as "Catch 22 and Pieces" as well as " This Heart of Mine, Mirrored and Numb Machine" that is sure to get any crowd into a frenzy. This is a band to keep watch for in 2012 as they are currently in pre-production for a soon to be released full length that will be marketed to record labels both here and abroad. They are currently in the process of booking a summer tour and festivals and if their live shows are anything like their ep they will be a must see for concert goers. We are a new Alternative Hard Rock band from Ashland, KY and surrounding areas featuring former members that has played in Regional and National well known bands such as Unload, Spun (WMG/Hollowpoint), Crossbreed (Sony/Artemis), Pilot The Machine and Before The Predicate. A Beautiful Tragedy was formed in 2012 with well known professional musicians such as Jason Sturgeon - Vocals (Unload, Born To Remain), Steve Potter - Guitar (Unload), Mike Ferrell - Bass (Spun, Crossbreed, Pilot The Machine), Aaron Eastham (Unload) and Zach "Magic" Holbrook - Drums (Before The Predicate). We are currently finishing up pre-production for our live show as well as writing new music that we will be recording in the next few months. In the meantime check out our current 5 song demo.
