Aberrant Kingdom's self-titled, 8 song EP, was recorded in May 2008, after about 2 months of playing together. The original intention was to serve as a demo to book shows, but demand from fans could not be denied and its morphed into more of a supplemental income/labor of love. The band self-packages and burns each and every copy.

When you grow up in the middle of nowhere, with meager monetary means, it's hard to find an outlet for your passions. Aberrant Kingdom is James May, Ian Tepper, and Pat Herron-three guys who've grown up in the Laurel Highlands of Southwestern Pennsylvania, loving, obsessing, deconstructing, mastering and then completely disregarding the works of legends like Led Zeppelin, Les Claypool, The Damned, Rainbow, The Cramps, The Beatles, Battles, The Black Keys, and so many others. In the Spring of 2008, AK was formed, and in less than a year the band has an catalogue of 20 originals (plus more are forming all the time) and multiple covers that seem to appear out of thin air. We're a group of friends, naturally drawn to our instruments, that have no other purpose than to play music for music's sake. We're loud. We're melodic. We're thumpy. We're opinionated. We make no appologies, but we graciously accept all opportunities that come our way. Aberrant Kingdom wants to make the world perk up and listen. Rock is NOT dead! It's here. With us. And it's a 'Life Worth Living'!
