AbJo, affectionately known as AbJonian Sanders, is a San Diego, California native with an intrinsically abstract ear for beats, and any and all related subjects. Counting in at 24 years old, the classically-trained, jazz-reared and hip hop-bred musician is all about timeless and classic, genre-bending and rule-breaking music, rhythms and soundscapes to create a piece of work worthy to be fashioned in the timeline of the modern day beat scene. AbJo is a firm believer in the religion of music, lives by it, and is at home with labels like Joe Kay and Andre Power's Soulection out of LA and top tastemaker blog and label Potholes In My Blog. It's all semantics, daydreaming and music talk with AbJonian, Brooklynite and fellow music sculptor MeLo-X, east coast lyrical expert Willie The Kid, and is currently in the works with Dirty Science's Exile (of legendary duo Blu & Exile) on releasing projects and singles through the Echo Park-based label. He also produces a unique brand of hip hop for slew of hometown heroes in his town, including Real J. Wallace, Piff "PCH" Herrera, Bam Circa '86, and San Diego by-way-of Sacramento rapper Chuuwee, who collectively go by the WKNDRS, rocking some of the best shows his hometown has to offer.
