Bio

Aaron was born and raised in NYC in the borough of Brooklyn. He started playing guitar at 12 years old. He went on to attend a music program in Erasmus Hall high school, and attended C.C.N.Y. in Harlem as a music major studying performance, composition, arranging and music theory. Aaron went on to be an active session player for recordings, gigs and the likes in the NYC area. As a member of the group "KARAVAN" Aaron went on to get their first record deal with Columbia Records.

Over time he embraced the emerging technologies of MIDI, sampling and digital audio and incorporated them into his writing and arranging skills. His years of experience lead him to establish BOP BROWN PRODUCTIONS, where Aaron honed his skills of recording, editing, arranging and producing music for his clients. Next Aaron started Phoenix Music & Media with Juan Coon.

My group Moments Notice came out of the need to perform my original compositions and help bring back a live music scene to the tri-state area. I gathered a few long time musical associates and we went at it carving out the songs so they each have a life of their own. The players and their roles are, John Adams, keys; Gene Faffley, drums /percussion; Kendall Buchannan, Bass; Phil Daniels Sax’s & Ewi; Linda Watson-Brown, Vocals and my self on guitars. We will be doing dates through out the states and abroad this coming year.

Some of the folks I’ve worked with are Roy Ayers, John Lewis {MJQ}, Onaje Allen Gumbs, Trevor Gale, Buddy Williams, Marcus Miller, Doc Powell, Carol Steel, Mauricio Smith, Glen Jones, Freddie Jackson, Tanya Willoboughy, Melissa Morgan, Miles Jaye, Kevin Jenkins, Warren McCrae, Carmen Lundy, Larry Elgart, Charlie Palmeri, Connie James, Paul Lawrence, Lisette Wilson, Harlem Boys Choir, Ronnie Drayton, Gus Falcon, Gordon Jones, Raymond Jones, Sharon Bryant, Linda Watson-Brown and many more.
