Lyrics

Baby Girl

Written By: Hassan Ansari

Intro: Hassan
Baby girl I'll always care
You know that I'll always be there
There's no good reason why I
Wouldn't want you in my life

Now baby girl just understand
I'm always gonna be your man
No matter what issues we face
Girl we can always make it right

Verse 1: Remedy
Baby girl I know things aren't easy
But it's gonna get better
You gotta believe me
Never meant to lie
Never meant to make you cry
Always want you by my side
Always want you in my life
R.E.M.E.D.Y
Baby I can't deny
That I'm feeling your style
And I'm loving your smile
When you aint here with me
You drivin' me wild

So tell me baby girl
If you wanna be together
If you're down to ride
We can make it last forever
And when it comes to us baby girl
It can't get no better
You're like my sunshine
In the stormiest weather

CHORUS: Hassan
Baby wanna know why I'm feelin' you, and real to you, and baby you
Wanna know why I'm never gonna
Ever gonna
Leave your sight
And all the things I've done to you
And all the things I'll ever do
I apologize baby girl cuz I
Always want you in my life
(Repeat)

Verse 2: Hassan
If it wasn't for you
I would have never had a best friend
Girl you brought in my life
A feeling of perfection
Though you brought me tears
You also gave me happiness
The feelin' I have for you is
Suttin(something) miraculous

And I know I get mad
On the simplest things
But every time you mess up
The past just stings

Now you know that I love you
And I always did
But the things that happened
And the things you did

Baby I don't think that I can ever forgive
Cuz I'll always have that pain for as
Long as I live

CHORUS: Hassan
Baby wanna know why I'm feelin' you, and real to you, and baby you
Wanna know why I'm never gonna
Ever gonna
Leave your sight
And all the things I've done to you
And all the things I'll ever do
I apologize baby girl cuz I
Always want you in my life
(Repeat)

Background vocals: Hassan
Speaking: Remedy
Baby girl...
These years haven't been easy
And the ones ahead of us aren't any easier
But through all the hardships and dilemmas
Just remember...
I'll always love you

Verse 3: Hassan
Baby I don't wanna know what makes you smile
Cuz I still haven't figured out what makes you cry!

Verse 3: Remedy
Com'n baby girl you know my style
I'll still be in love, even after I die

Verse 3: Hassan
And even if we part, I will still be there
And even if you've moved on
I will still care
And baby when you feel like the end is near...
Keep your head up cuz Life's Not Fair (another song by Hassan)

CHORUS: Hassan
Baby wanna know why I'm feelin' you, and real to you, and baby you
Wanna know why I'm never gonna
Ever gonna
Leave your sight
And all the things I've done to you
And all the things I'll ever do
I apologize baby girl cuz I
Always want you in my life
(Repeat)

The song is ironic because the guy is blaming his girlfriend for bringing pain to him; yet in the chorus, he is apologizing for everything he has done wrong (hoping she does the same). In Remedy’s verse, the lyrics depict confusion as the writer is not sure if his partner loves him. In Hassan’s verse, the song gets more serious and tells how this couple has been together for a long time and the problems they have faced. Though this makes the song more confusing, it shows different points of view from two different writers. The song matures as it moves on allowing the listener to become familiar with the topic before going in too deep. Based on real life experiences, the song should relate to everyone who is serious about a relationship. Though written by rappers, this song is not the usual "pimp song".
