About Last Night

About Last Night is a pop-punk band located in Collinsville, Illinois. Being that Collinsville is such a small suburb town, (10 miles east of St. Louis, Missouri), About Last Night has played numerous shows and battle of the bands to establish a fan base and frequently play the large Pop's Night Club. “About Last Night” was founded in early 2009 in Andrew Wilde’s (Drummer) basement. Andrew Wilde, along with Matt Gamez (Guitar) and Mike Toon (Bass/Vocals) decided that they wanted to play catchy up-beat music in order to keep listeners on their feet dancing and entertained. With an avid athletic background, these post athletes are sure to bring a high energy performance. “About Last Night” finds inspiration from the bands Blink 182, New Foung Glory, Greenday, and many more. Andrew Wilde, Matt Gamez, and Mike Toon all worship Blink 182, in fact, the first day “About Last Night” practiced was March 15th, which is Blink 182’s bassist Mark Hoppus’ birthday. Even with such an energetic background and musical talent, these boys are no stranger to the system, and all went on a hiatus due to college. However, Both Andrew and Matt have come back to southern Illinois from the University of Illinois and Mike transferred from Western Illinois University because of such dedication to “About Last Night”. With these alternative punk boys busting out some up-beat tunes, they are sure to get you dancing. The About Last Night boys are going to start recording their EP in mid-May, which will be out around Summer 2010
