Above the Horizon

Above The Horizon started in early 2010 as a bedroom hobby between guitarist/singer/songwriter Matt Ryder, who had already gained minor popularity playing acoustic shows, and drummer/solo musician David Baji.

After learning that they worked extremely well together, they decided to make it a more serious venture into the world of music. Despite several line up changes in the span of only a few months, Matt and David are determined to find a way to go above and beyond in the world of music. New to the group is Mike Aurin who will be the permanent bassist for Above the Horizon. Now, all three of them are ready to take the music world by storm with songs that have substance, great melodies, and let you rock out all at the same time. With influences ranging from the grunge bands of the early 90s such as Bush and Goo Goo Dolls to the modern hard rock sound of Breaking Benjamin and Sick Puppies, they cover a wide span of genres and styles that is guaranteed to appeal to anyone.

They are currently in the process of preparing a small home studio and plan to record a CD/EP in the beginning of 2011.
